GAS TURBINES
24 MW ABB STAL (1973)
24 MW PPD3 is equipped with two gas generators and two turbines
in double end configuration driving one common generator from both
ends. In the 24 MW PPD3 a free wheel SSS coupling between each
power turbine and the common generator enables flexible operation
with one or two gas turbines for 12 MW or 24 MW power output.
The scope of supply includes complete gas turbine blocks with all
main components and auxiliary equipment, buildings and enclosures,
spare parts and relevant documentation including operation and
maintenance manuals. The supply boundaries are the fuel booster
pump inlet and the terminals on the generator breaker connection to
the 10 kV switchgear. Boundaries of other connections to equipment
not forming part of the unit are at the terminal points in the
unit.
The plant was built in 1972 - 1973 to cover peak electricity.
The plant was used for grid balancing duties and test runs, but
recently only regular test runs have been performed. The plant is
operative, in good condition and has been regularly maintained.
