DIESEL GENERATORS
24.5 MW Pielstick
The scope of supply includes complete gas turbine blocks
including all main components and auxiliary equipment, buildings
and enclosures, spare parts and relevant documentation including
operation and maintenance manuals. The supply boundaries are the
fuel booster pump inlet and the terminals on the generator breaker
connection to the 10 kV switchgear. Boundaries of other connections
to equipment not forming part of the unit are at the terminal
points in the unit.
The plant was built in 1969 to cover peak electricity and was
mainly used for grid balancing duties and test runs. The pant is
operative, in good condition and has been regularly maintained.
